Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police towards DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The other shows she has hosted include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
